About SaBRE

What is SaBRE?

SaBRE is a national campaign set up by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to enhance the relationship between employers and Reservists. The campaign helps to improve awareness and develop a better understanding of the benefits and obligations associated with employing members of the Volunteer Reserve Forces (VRF).

  • To heighten awareness of the VRF among employers, encouraging their support.
  • To provide support to employers and Reservists, including details about their commitments.
  • To explain how the transferable skills Reservists acquire through training benefit their workplace.
  • To convey the views of employers and Reservists to government ministers and the MOD.
  • To take a neutral position - although sponsored by the MOD - working with military and civilian communities.
