Garden Party at Buckingham Palace:

A Garden Party was held at Buckingham Palace to celebrate 100 years of the Territorial Army (TA). The Garden Party was an opportunity for Reservists to thank their employers for their support, and was a chance for employers to acknowledge that their Reservist employees are a real asset to the workplace.

Jeremy Higgins was mobilised to Iraq in 2006. His employer at Cross Country Trains has been very supportive whenever Jeremy has required time off for training or mobilisation commitments.

Fraikin Limited: Damian Hardy
Damian Hardy has been in the Reserve Forces for over twenty years. His employer at Fraikin Limited is highly supportive and values the skills he has learnt as a Reservist.

Scott Wilson Ltd: Adrian Milton and Mary Holt
Adrian Milton was called up for mobilisation to Afghanistan in 2007. His employer at Scott Wilson Ltd was very supportive during this period and helped him gradually integrate back into the workplace when he returned.

Jaguar and Land Rover: Allan Lunn and Tim Williams-Wood
Allan Lunn has been a member of the Reserve Forces for 14 years and was mobilised to Iraq in 2003. His employer at Jaguar and Land Rover offer their Reservists additional leave to attend annual camp.

Birmingham City Council: Veronica Coleman and Sharon Lea
Veronica Coleman has been a Reservist for over 25 years and was mobilised to Iraq in 2003.


Battersea Dogs & Cats Home: Nichola Harrison and Howard Bridges
Thanks to her employer at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Nichola got the support she needed when she was mobilised to Iraq in 2006.

Rapid Innovation Group: David Gates and Shields Russell
David Gates is a consultant at Rapid Innovation Group and has been in the Reserve Forces for most of his time there.


ITLab: Simon Jenner
In 2007, Simon Jenner was mobilised to help with the floods in Worcestershire at very short notice. 



Ravello IT Ltd: Chris Baldrey-Chourio
In January 2007, Chris was mobilised to Afghanistan for just over 6 months. He was on call within an Immediate Response Team (IRT) which comprised of Chris and his colleagues, a surgeon and a couple of medics, ready to be deployed with only ten minutes notice.
