Activities for Employers and Reservists

Exercise EXECUTIVE STRETCH

If you are looking for training in leadership and teamwork, why not nominate key staff to attend an EXECUTIVE STRETCH weekend - or attend yourself?

Although the weekend is fairly demanding physically, your executives don't have to be super fit. The activities are designed to demonstrate how leadership and teamwork can achieve set objectives and are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities.

The 'stretching' of both physical and mental capabilities gives participants a great sense of achievement and personal satisfaction, as well as providing employers and staff with an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into the training received by members of the Reserve Forces.

For more information please visit the EXECUTIVE STRETCH website or get in touch with your local regional SaBRE contact. For all other events see Events in your area

Feedback

'A thoroughly enjoyable weekend, beginning with an excellent meal and concluding with a great barbecue. In between, were 48 hours of sheer hell which I wouldn't have missed for the world!'

'Perhaps the most valuable lesson we learned was how a diverse group of people can be pulled together through shared adversity and a powerful sense of urgency.'

'It was a weekend I will never forget. It drained me, but challenged me more than ever before. I learned how to plan ahead, how to include every member of the team and how to work within that group.'

'Just what I was looking for, with two of my young managers in mind - an exercise that would challenge their leadership and organisational skills. I knew the exercise would benefit both my staff and, indirectly, the company.'

'Working in organised, disciplined groups, doing something completely different, was a great experience for my employees. They were able to find out more about themselves and about the skills and expertise of the Reserves.'

'EXECUTIVE STRETCH emphasised the need to work as a team and provided a challenge for everyone taking part. My message to any employer would be to team up with the Reserve Forces and allow your executives to give it a go.'
