Our company employs about 80 people - most of them highly skilled precision engineers. We've had two Reservists working here, one of whom, Lee, has been with us for 10 years.

Lee is a very highly-spirited person who has the potential to go off and do his own thing. His training has brought home to him that he's part of a team and has to think of other people. I saw that develop in him quite amazingly.

Help from SaBRE

Through SaBRE's visit programme, I went to Norway about 6 months ago to see Reservists take part in a training exercise. The experience was quite enlightening and revealed that it's not just a summer camp, it's really hard work. The amount of resilience you see during the training to keep going and not give in, is amazing.

Six of our employees have been on Exec Stretch and enjoyed it immensely. It was heart-warming to see everyone working as a team and it definitely had a positive effect on the staff when they came back to work. Other employees have gone on Exec Stretch and really got to recognise their own strengths and the ones with leadership skills really stood out.
