| Adjudication Officer | Independent official who determines the outcome of applications for exemption or deferral. |
| Annual Camp | 15-day continuous training period for Reservists |
| CAB | Citizens Advice Bureau |
| CBI | Confederation of British Industry |
| CCRF | Civil Contingency Reaction Force: Volunteer Reservists who receive special training and may be mobilised in the event of extreme national need. |
| Commanding Officer | Unit Commander |
| DIS | Defence Intelligence Services |
| Demobilisation | Administrative release of a Reservist from military service, prior to any leave owing. |
| DRFC | Directorate of Reserve Forces and Cadets |

The last day of your paid full-time military service; in most cases, this will be the last day of any post-tour leave. |
| Exercise EXECUTIVE STRETCH | A chance for employers to nominate their employees to spend a weekend training with the Reserve Forces. |

| Reinstatement Committee | Independent tribunal empowered to direct an employer to reinstate a Reservist into their former civilian employment. |
